Linux is the kernel behind a family of FOSS Operating Systems made by Linus Torvalds. Its different distributions are upkept by a list of contributors and supporters, and thus, because it is not a company, Law Enforcement has a hard time governing it. Linux is naturally a safer option to its main competitor, Windows, as it is not owned by a Company, and does not have an incentive to screw over its users for profit.

Linux Community

There is a community of people who are hyper-obsessed with Linux and the OSS field as a whole. These people are usually found on Reddit and the Fediverse, and usually try to contest each other and debate about which Operating Systems are the best. Arch Linux is a distribution of Linux that is specifically created for people who want to look cool by saying "I set up my own Linux!!". It is made so that it's more difficult to set up than other Linux distributions.
